Due to the high demand for the renowned, 2JW and 3JW swivels and the current challenges with casting foundries, WRAM has decided to produce the 2JW and 3JW housings out of bar-stock, in-house. These 2JW and 3JW units made from bar-stock instead of castings from our foundry vendors will be assigned the models, 2DRE and 3DRE respectively. The 2DRE and 3DRE will have virtually the exact specifications as the 2JW and 3JW.
The primary goal for this new manufacturing process is to alleviate the current lead times for these units. Due to a number of variables causing an extensive backorder list for these swivels, we hope to cut down on manufacturing time by bypassing the foundry and making the housings in-house. We apologize for the extensive wait some of our customers have endured. WRAM is taking steps to alleviate this problem, and are confident we can get back to previous, normal lead times for these products.
We will not stop production of the 2JW and 3JW at this time - we are confident our foundry vendors will be able to meet our needs in the near future.
